Condition matters.
Specify the acceptance basis.
Frame scrap and recycled metals enquiries around grade, physical condition, contamination limits, quantity and inspection requirements.

Describe the lot you need.
Secondary materials need a clear description of both metal content and physical condition. Identify the grade or specification reference and the features that will determine acceptance.
State allowable contamination, coatings, attachments, moisture and non-metal content where relevant. Include size, preparation and loading requirements rather than relying only on a broad trade name.
Photographs and inspection evidence should relate to the actual lot under discussion. The specialist product image on this page represents our wider materials catalogue and does not show a scrap lot.

A defined specification
Provide the grade and acceptance criteria used by your receiving operation. Identify any permitted alternatives.
Send an RFQ →Documentary evidence
Request lot information, composition evidence and traceability details relevant to your purchasing requirements.
Documentation requests →Destination & transport
State the destination and proposed delivery term. Shipment feasibility, documentation and responsibilities require confirmation.
Shipping & delivery →Agree the conditions for the specific supply.
Origin is confirmed per material. Certain copper and scrap supplies may be sourced from the Democratic Republic of the Congo; that does not establish the origin of every secondary material offered.
Independent inspection or sampling requirements should be raised before an order is agreed so the procedure, timing and responsibilities are clear.
Availability, pricing, quantity, payment milestones and delivery terms are stated in the quotation and proforma invoice. A catalogue listing is not proof of a particular lot’s condition or current stock.
